Some like the Behringer XR series can only be controlled from the computer, tablet, or a midi controller. Physical interface would be a way to control settings on the mixer such as faders and pots for eq. If you are applying FX from from the DAW, this may not matter that much. Examples would be an outboard compressor, distortion, or reverb. How many auxes (i dont know why does it matter?)Īuxes are for external fx. ![]() Hey thanks for the answer it's more clear to me now, because what i want is to ditch my Motu and get something with more inputs something like a mixer like the ones you have mentioned above, will these act like an audio interface too? Of course there are others but these 3 are a good overview I think. X Air is same format but takes out physical control ( you can add them if needed ) in favor of tactile tablet/phone,computer. Signature series are classic mixer format with usb multitrack. That would be a start since you'll have an overview of all the format avaliable. You could look at A&H Qu-Pac, Berhinger X-air 18 ( or 16 or 14.), Soundcraft Signature 12 or 24 MTK. ![]() ![]() KaOsphere wrote:Seems like mixer quest these days.
